Vijay (conceived Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar on 22 June 1974) is an Indian film on-screen character, playback vocalist and giver who works in the Tamil film industry. He is famously referred to by his fans as Ilayathalapathy (junior president) or Thalapathy (president) and is a standout amongst the most well known and powerful on-screen characters of Tamil film.
The child of S. A. Chandrasekhar and Shoba Chandrasekhar, Vijay at first showed up as a kid performing artist in some of his dad's movies, beginning with Vetri (1984).
