The engineer of Linux portion Greg Kroah Hartman has official declared on his blog that the Kernel 4.14 will be the following LTS piece branch. This will be upheld with stable bit fix back ports for around two years. The declaration was made in the official blog of Hartman.

In August 2016, there was a declaration that Linux portion 4.9 will be the following LTS discharge. When it was discharged then , there were such a large number of equipment bolster and new highlights were presented in the same. The declaration is made by the popular piece engineer i.e. Greg Kroah-Hartman.
